Outreach

Christ Lutheran Church is reaching out at home and across the world to further our mission "to know Christ and to make Him known." We contribute to various missions and outreach programs on a routine basis on the second Sunday of each month (MISSION SUNDAY). Envelopes will be available in the pew card holders to place mission offerings in. If members choose to designate a different mission they may indicate that on the envelope. April Mission of the Month: The AALC Youth Conference

APRIL MISSION OF THE MONTH: AALC YOUTH CONFERENCE

JULY 14-18, 2025

YMCA OF THE ROCKIES, ESTES PARK CO

July 14-18, 2025, presents the opportunity for congregations across The AALC to send their youth to the National AALC Youth Conference where youth feel safe to express their faith. There will be five days of God-filled opportunities to learn more about Christ and all his wonderful works and love for us. Youth will meet others from across the country and share their walk with Christ. The event will equip youth with faith-based responses to the daily challenges of growing up in an ever-changing world.

If you have ever wondered if there was value in sending your youth members to the National Conference, let this serve as a promise to you that love will abound with Christ at the center. Send your youth to the 2025 Youth Conference at the YMCA of the Rockies, and you will be preparing them to face the challenges of the world with faith in Christ.

Missions For 2025

Food Shelf Distribution

CLC is very active in distributing food to our neighbors. The fourth Thursday of each month is Community Food Share Day. We will be handing out grocery bags with dinners and lunches for families of four (extra bags for larger families). Each bag will also include crafty creative projects for your children. Plus, we will give a birthday kit (cake mix, frosting, candles) for those who have children with an upcoming birthday.

Grocery bags can be picked up at the rear entrance of the Church.

Piedmont Elementary

Ministry to Piedmont Elementary - God has opened a door of love and service for us to bless the students and staff of Piedmont Elementary.

Some of the ways we can show love to our neighbors across the street -

We can help stock the Kids Kupboard each month with school supplies,
snacks, and basic needs for the students.-
We have been invited to volunteer at the school to read stories to the students, just like we do for our own children and grandchildren!
Each fall we start collecting hats and mittens to donate to the school children before Christmas break.

CLC Band of Brothers

CLC Band of Brothers -

Men need other men of God to help develop Christ-like character in their lives, as Proverbs 27:17 says, "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another."

Christ Lutheran Church's men's ministry will provide a variety of opportunities for men to fellowship, learn, and serve. The focus is on building strong, Christ-centered, Spirit-filled, trusting relationships, while addressing the needs of men in maintaining and improving their walk with God, through Jesus Christ. The primary purpose of men's ministry is to involve Christian men in service. Men who grow in their faith are more willing and able to serve Jesus Christ.

Lutherans for Life

The Lake Superior Chapter of Lutheran's for Life have temporarily suspended meetings at the church. Please go to their website for more information.

There are discussions about issues from conception to natural death. We discuss what is happening locally, nationally, and worldwide.

The Chapter follows the mission, vision, and philosophy of Lutheran's for Life. The goal is to be strong witnesses to the sanctity of human life through education based upon the Word of God.
